Memorial Day Weekend

Shawn was busy farming and Ashley was hanging out with a friend,
so Harper and I got in lots of play time!
We walked the trail at Watkin's Mill.  Harper fell asleep.
We went to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.
Harper's favorite part was petting the goats.  She even laid down
on the ground to hug one of the goats.
We played with sidewalk chalk.  After I drew this picture,
Harper said "Heart"!
We ate corn on the cob and Harper ate every kernel!
We played at the park.
We went to Ocean's of Fun.  Harper loved the slides.
Another mom remarked, "Wow, she is absolutely fearless!"
This is one of the medium size slides she loved.
I didn't get any pictures of the large twisting slides that were her favorites
because I was afraid we would get the camera wet.
What a busy and fun weekend!

A busy weekend

It was a busy weekend for us!
We participated in the 2013 AHA Heart Walk.
Harper brought her favorite toy zebra and some Gatorade.
We played in the baby pool.
We got the big pool ready.
Harper tried using the pedals on her tricycle.
She painted with watercolors for the first time.
Apparently Cap-n-Crunch tastes even better with her feet on the table.
Harper loves summer!

Brian!!!!

On Saturday, we traveled to Springfield, Illinois to see our friend, Brian.
We had a great time catching up with Brian and his family.
We laughed and remembered the good ole days and had our traditional taco feast.
Harper loved chasing Sir William, the family dog.  Shawn enjoyed Sir William too.
No matter how many months we are apart, when we finally see the Angell family it
seems like we've only been apart for a few minutes.
Friends forever!

St. Louis Day 2

Today we went to the St. Louis Zoo!
Petting a goat
Showing her toy zebra some real zebras
The penguins seemed more interested in Harper than she was in them!
Hey look!  It's a crocodile!
Harper wasn't afraid of the big snakes.
She wasn't afraid of the stingrays either.
She loved the carousel!
We ate lunch at Jennifer's Pharmacy and Soda Shoppe.
It was the cutest little pharmacy with an old fashioned soda fountain.
The chocolate malt was the best!
For dinner, we ate at Pi.  It is a pizza place that Barack Obama liked so
much, he brought the chef to the White House.  It caused quite an uproar in his
hometown of Chicago, since they are proud of their Chicago style pizza.

St. Louis Day 1

This morning, we got up early and drove to St. Louis.
We hoped if we left early, Harper might sleep part of the way.
She didn't sleep at all, but was so good the whole way.
We were worried if she would eat, since we don't eat out very often.
We stopped at McDonald's in Columbia and she loved it!
It looks like we will be eating at McDonald's more often.
We went to The Magic House in St. Louis.
There were so many fun things for Harper to do!
Playing in the sandbox
There were lots of slides!
Harper LOVED the sensory water play area!
Talking on the phone
Driving a car
Swimming at the hotel
We ate dinner at Fitz's-- famous for it's root beer and burgers.
They make and bottle many different flavors of soda.
I had grape soda and it was wonderful!
Shawn ordered a root beer float.  Harper decided she would share it with him!
We are so incredibly blessed to have Harper in our lives.
She brightens every day and is such a happy and loving little girl!

Fun Run!

Since it was cold and snowy outside, we decided to go to Fun Run in Liberty.
Harper loved it!  I'm sure we will be going back soon.
Harper loved playing in the police car.
There were several slides.
The fire truck was fun too!
This was the huge slide.
Of course, our little daredevil loved it.
All of the slide shots were blurry because she was going so fast!
We give Fun Run five stars!
