The Nutcracker Ballet

On Saturday, we attended the Sugar Plum Fairy Children’s Ball luncheon with my cousin, Barb, and lots of ladies from the Beckett side of the family.

Harper loved all of the food at our fancy lunch.  The kid’s appetizer had fruit, cheese and ham.  The main course for the  children included chicken cordon bleu, macaroni and cheese, and steamed green beans.  She also enjoyed rolls and most of my mashed potatoes.  She loved the fancy cake and mousse desserts too!

Harper got to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.

After lunch, we headed to the Kauffman Center to see The Nutcracker ballet!

Barb has been attending this event for 20 years,

so we had excellent seats!  During intermission, we got to attend a party with special treats and drinks.

It was such a fun day!

Halloween 2019

We had a great Halloween this year!

We carved a Hello Kitty Pumpkin

and went to a Trunk or Treat event at church.

Harper got a coupon for an ice cream cone

 at the McDonald’s trunk

and she walked the plank for some Pirate Treasure.

She hung out with a mermaid

and pretended to be a mermaid too!

She had a party at school

and got ready to trick or treat.

We went to a few houses

then Harper joined some friends for more trick or treating!

She got a LOT of candy!

Happy Halloween!

A Busy Saturday

Yesterday, Harper was in the Jesse James Parade.

She rode on the float with the Studio 320 dancers.

The forecast was for rain, but we made it 

through the parade without getting wet!

Later that night we went down to the Power & Light District.  We ate dinner at BRGR.

Then we went over to the Sprint Center

 for the JoJo Siwa concert!

Harper picked cotton candy for a snack.

We saw my childhood friends, Jennifer Thummel

and Stephannie Booth and their daughters, Dalilah and Reese.  None of the girls are looking at the same camera, but I love this picture so much!

Harper was so excited when JoJo came out on stage.

We had great seats and Harper sang and danced for hours!

We had so much fun at the JoJo Siwa concert!

Cheerleading Mini Clinic

This week Harper attended a mini clinic

with the Kearney High School cheerleaders

and the Golden Girls.

She learned a cheer and dance and got to

perform at the football game!

During the cheer, she got to be a flyer!

She loved it!

At halftime, Harper danced with the Golden Girls.

It was fun hanging out with her friends

and meeting the Bulldog!

Summer Fun 2019

We had a lot of fun this summer!

We spent time eating donuts at Slivinski’s

and playing at the park.

We went to a couple of splash parks

and spent quite a few days at Oceans of Fun!

We got ice cream at Betty Rae’s

and Reese’s Peanut Butter cheesecake 

at The Cheesecake Factory.

Harper attended Vacation Bible School at church

and we saw several movies— Toy Story 4, The Lion King and Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

We worked at Harvester’s

and ate meals outside as often as possible!

We celebrated Christy’s 50th birthday

and Ashley’s 29th birthday.

But mostly we just hang out in the pool and relaxed!

It was a perfect summer!
