Christmas 2020

Christy and Gee came to visit last week.
We went to Winter Magic to see the lights.

The tunnel was cool

and there were lots of displays.

We had a great time!

On Friday night, we did two escape rooms,
and got out both times!

We opened gifts

and made a gingerbread train!

After a COVID exposure, Harper and I were quarantined.
We made cookies for Santa.

On Christmas Eve, we watched the
church candlelight service

and sang Silent Night with our candles.

We put on our matching pajamas
(a tradition my mom started)

and waited for Santa to arrive.

Santa brought Harper the 197 piece
glitter Shopkins set she wanted!

She also got the New Balance
tennis shoes she’d been hoping for!

We spent the day playing

then took Ashley’s gifts to her apartment
and left them in the garage.

We were sad that we couldn’t spend Christmas with Ashley,
but we got to FaceTime with her and open gifts.
She wore her matching pj’s too!

Merry Christmas!

Quarantine

On November 18, Harper was exposed to someone
who was COVID positive at school.  She had to
quarantine for 14 days.  Quarantine time was
pretty boring, so we played lots of games.

We went to Sonic for dinner

and spent lots of time driving around
 looking at Christmas lights.

It was only the two of us for Thanksgiving, so we
dressed up for dinner

and pretended we were eating at a fancy restaurant.

One day after homeschooling, we
celebrated with ice cream from Sheridan’s!

Luckily Harper never developed any COVID
symptoms.  We were both ready for the quarantine to end!

Halloween 2020

Despite the COVID pandemic, we had a great Halloween.
We went to a drive through Trunk or Treat event at church.
Harper wanted to wear her old Papa John’s outfit.

We ate a Papa John’s jack o’lantern pizza!

Harper loved carving the pumpkin!

Ashley helped too!

Snoopy turned out great!

Harper is obsessed with the KMBC 9 news crew, so I wasn’t surprised when she decided to be an Investigative Reporter for Halloween.

We had a bonfire with our neighbors

and the kids took a hayride to trick or treat.

It was a great Halloween!

Fun Farm 2020

It was 80 degrees in October, so after school
today we went to the Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch.

Harper jumped on the air mattresses

drove a combine

and ate pumpkin donuts!

There were tons of playhouses

with slides

We checked out the animals

and shot apples out of a cannon.

Harper still loved playing in the giant corn bin!

Harper went down the giant slide

and screamed all the way!

Harper led us through the amazing maize maze.

Help! We are lost!

We had such a great time at the Fun Farm!
