Sunday Funday

Today we went to the Tulip Festival at Fun Farm.

There were over 300,000 tulips!

Harper danced her way through the flowers.

We raced down the giant slide

and sat in a giant chair.

We played games

We looked at the chickens and none of them had 3 legs!

Harper wanted her picture in the combine

and on the swings.

We jumped

then cooled off with strawberry lemon slushes.

It was a great day at the Tulip Festival!

Harper started taking a Chinese dance class

on Sunday evenings.

There is a Fazoli’s nearby and she was so excited 

to eat there tonight!

Easter 2022

We had a wonderful Easter!

We colored eggs

and made bunny cinnamon rolls.

We went to church

and made a big lunch!

As we were cleaning up, Harper decided she

 needed more scalloped potatoes!

Harper checked out her Easter basket

Harper made silly faces when she ate sour bunny Warheads.

Next, we had an Easter egg hunt.

She found them all!

The gold eggs were her favorites.

Other Omaha fun

Our hotel had a giant Connect 4 game

and some really comfortable  chairs!

The pool was pretty sweet too!

We went to Hurt’s Donuts

and they had swings for chairs!

Our favorite was the Reese’s donut, 

but Cookie Monster was pretty cute!

When Harper was little and we travelled, as we walked to our hotel room she would always point at the doors and shake her finger and say “Not dat room!”  Ashley and I always prayed for a room close to the elevator because Harper would say Not Dat Room to every single door!!

Of course our room always seemed to be at the end of the hall.  Harper giggled as she re-enacted it on this trip. Not dat room!  Not dat room! Not dat room!

We are looking forward to our next adventure!

Day Two in Omaha

Today we checked out the Lee Simmons 

Wildlife Safari Park. 

Harper loved hanging out of the sunroof looking for animals.

This turkey kept gobbling at her

and we saw lots of bison!

Next we went to Platte River state park.

We hiked and found a waterfall!

Harper sang and danced her way down the trails.

The park was so beautiful!

We had a blast on our hike!

Then we found a great playground. 

There was a huge climbing structure

and side by side zip lines so we could race!

Harper wanted her picture with the giant eagle.

The weather was perfect for playing 

and swinging!

What a fun day!
