NYC 2023 Day 4

We spent our last day exploring Chinatown.

This supermarket was exactly 

like the ones we saw when we were in China!

The smell of fish was horrible and there were

bins of live, crawling things everywhere!

We ate lunch, shopped, and even saw a pharmacy!

On the way back to the airport, Harper was snapping pictures of everything. She wanted to remember it all!

If you can’t tell, Harper LOVED New York!

What fun memories we made!

NYC 2023 Day 3

We spent Saturday with Harper’s dance team.

We met for lunch at a buffet called Umi Sushi.

Next, the girls took the stage for practice.

The girls lined up backstage during dress rehearsal.

The performance was fantastic!

It was a night to remember!

NYC 2023 Day 2

On Friday morning, we went to see the taping of

Good Morning America!

We saw Eva, George, Michael and Lara at the desk and Whit Johnson even waved at Harper!

Later, Michael Strahan came outside to introduce a performance by the cast of New York, New York.  He was inches away from us!

We got donuts from the Times Square Krispie Kreme

then headed over to Rise NY.  It is a simulation ride where you feel like you are on a hang glider soaring over all of the sights in New York. I wasn’t able to take pictures on the actual ride, but we were suspended 30 feet in the air.  It was so realistic and fun but a little bit scary too!

On the way to the ride, there was a cool Pop Culture museum.  We got to sit on the couch from Friends!

Harper hosted a late night show

and danced behind the DJ table.

We shopped some more

and Harper was impressed with the giant Hershey products!

We ate lunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner.  All of the servers are Broadway hopefuls, and they sing and dance on the tables.  Last season 18 of the servers were recruited for Broadway shows.  The talent was amazing!  

Harper LOVED it when they shot off confetti cannons during a mash up of songs from Grease!

We headed back to the hotel for homework, 

but saved time for relaxing in the pool!

  

NYC 2023 Day 1

Harper and I flew to New York City for a long weekend.

We stayed in Manhattan and our room 

was on the top floor of the hotel. 

We checked out the view from the rooftop, but were too scared to get near the edge.  We don’t like heights!

That night, we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Then we did some shopping. 

 The M & M store was a big hit!

After that, we saw The Lion King on Broadway!

They don’t allow pictures to be taken during the show,

but it was spectacular!
