Watermelon!

A few weeks ago, I saw an ad on Facebook offering 15 minute photo sessions
with a photographer whose work I admire.
The price was great and the proceeds went to charity.

Normally when Harper gets her picture taken, I plan for months.
But these special mini sessions were offered for one day only
and it was only two days away!
We snatched up one of the remaining appointments
and threw together an outfit.
Harper still will not pose for a camera, so I didn't have high expectations.

To my surprise, the pictures came out great!!! There are so many fabulous ones!!!
I got 21 incredible pictures from our mini session, but I will TRY to narrow them down and post my favorites.
Harper had soooooo much fun at her watermelon photo shoot!

A Visit from Aunt Christy and Cousin Lexi

Aunt Christy and cousin Lexi were in town this weekend.
We had a blast at Worlds of Fun!
Lexi was a good sport and rode the kiddie rides with Harper.
Harper loved Lucy's Tugboat ride.
It was a hot day, so we spent the afternoon cooling off at Oceans of Fun.
 We celebrated Lexi's 11th and Ashley's 25th birthdays.
There were cupcakes, presents and lots of laughs!

Harper's First Royals Game

Daddy is on vacation this week, so he took the girls to a Royals game.
Harper was excited to see baseball!
She loved playing at the Little K.
The Royals beat the Tampa Bay Rays with a walk off grand slam by Paulo Orlando.
What a great first game!

Independence Day

On July 3, we made our annual trip to see the Kearney Fireworks display.
We stopped at Sonic for ice cream and Harper ordered her favorite, a banana shake. The iPad was a great distraction while we waited for the show to begin.
The view of the fireworks was better on Ashley's lap,
but the iPad was still more interesting.
For the first year, Harper stayed awake and saw the whole show!
We loved having a long weekend!
We spent time watering the plants
and of course there was dancing!
Harper loved getting water for the dogs (and drenching us all with cold water!)
Happy Independence Day!

First Trip To Chuck E. Cheese's

We decided it was time for Harper to experience Chuck E. Cheese's!
She loved the games
and racing cars with Ashley.
She danced and giggled
and learned to play skee ball!
She rode a ride with Barney
and rode a horse too!
We had a blast at Chuck E. Cheese's!
