Last day of Magic Kingdom

Today was our last day of vacation, and we chose to
spend it at the Magic Kingdom.
It was a rainy day, but we weren't going to let the weather spoil our fun.
We created a stroller cover to keep Harper dry.  It worked perfectly!
Wherever we go, Harper makes friends.
When we boarded the plane, she not only greeted the pilot with a big "Hi!",
she said "Hi!" to every single person as we walked down the aisle to our seats.
We take Disney buses from the resort to the parks and each
morning when we get to our bus stop, she walks around greeting everyone.
On the bus ride to Magic Kingdom, she told the lady next to us that Belle was her
favorite princess.  The lady gave Harper a collectible Belle pin!  It was so sweet!
The lady on the other side of us overheard me say that Belle was the only
princess we hadn't met, and she gave us a great tip on how to meet her.
We attended Enchanted Tales with Belle.  It is a small play
where audience members are asked to participate.  Harper played a salt shaker
and after the play, she got to meet Belle!
We rode several rides today and the most memorable was
the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  It was described as a mild roller coaster.
Harper is normally fearless, but as you can probably see in this photo,
she did NOT like the ride!
She had more fun meeting Anna
and Elsa!
For our last Disney dinner, we chose The Crystal Palace.
Many of the characters from Winnie the Pooh were there.
We met Eeyore
and Piglet
and Tigger
and Winnie the Pooh!
We picked up some treats at the Main Street Confectionary
and Harper couldn't wait to dig in!
Her favorite was several jumbo marshmallows on a Mickey Mouse straw,
dipped in chocolate and rolled in mini M & M's.
Harper has been such a good girl this week!
There has been lots of waiting ...
for buses, in lines at the parks, and at the airport.
She has played quietly and remained happy and I have
definitely counted my blessings many times!
She is such an agreeable and easygoing child.
I was trying to get her to choose a souvenir in the gift shop,
and I really had to twist her arm to get something.
Several other kids were throwing fits and screaming for a toy,
and I could barely convince Harper to take something home.
She finally chose some figurines from Doc McStuffins and Beauty and the Beast.
I persuaded her to also choose Mickey and Minnie dolls
(just like Ashley got when we were here 20 years ago!)
We have made so many great memories on this trip!
As we were tucking into bed tonight I said, "Harper,
what was your favorite thing we did today?"
She answered, "Eating Cheetos!"
I think she did a good job summing up our vacation earlier this morning.
As she was sitting on the potty, she was singing, "If you're happy
and you know it, clap your hands!"
Don't worry!  I didn't take any pictures of that!
Thank you Disney World for helping us have such a magical time!
We will remember this trip forever!

Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom

This morning we went to Hollywood Studios,
since Ashley missed it when she was sick.
Harper and I were super excited to go to the
Frozen Sing A Long show again.
Ashley loved it too!
We also saw the Beauty and the Beast show.
Ashley and I loved the songs and choreography.

 Harper loved the characters!
After resting at the hotel for a bit, we headed over for
more fun at the Magic Kingdom.
We rode a lot of rides!
Harper's favorites included Dumbo the Flying Elephant
and the Mad Tea Party Teacups.
We had front row seats for the evening parade!
Harper was so excited!
What a fantastic way to end our day!

Epcot

We spent today at Epcot!
We rode several rides and Harper's favorite was Soarin'!
The ride simulates being on a hang glider that is flying
over many California locations.  We flew over the mountains, orange groves
(and it really smells like oranges!), forest (smells like pine trees),  oceans,
and so many other picturesque locations!
We had a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie.
When Harper turned the corner and saw Mickey was there,
she had a huge smile and took off running to go see him!
Mickey bent over to pose with Harper, and apparently
she thought she should bend over too.
We all got a good laugh out of that one.
Harper loved meeting Minnie Mouse too!
The Seas with Nemo and Friends was another favorite ride.
We enjoyed the huge aquarium.
Luckily, we had a coveted reservation
for lunch with the Disney princesses!
We met Ariel
and Snow White
and Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
and Cinderella!
The highlight was meeting Mulan!
Mulan is from China too, so we definitely wanted to meet her!
She was joking with Harper and told her to make a silly face.
Harper just kept grinning.
We are having so much fun in Orlando!

Hollywood Studios

Harper and I had a blast at Hollywood Studios!
(Ashley was sick and stayed back at the hotel today.
Don't worry, Grandma.  She is feeling better now!)
We started off with breakfast at Hollywood & Vine.
Harper had her first Mickey head waffle!
However, she chose to eat her banana first.
This girl loves her fruit!
Harper was excited to meet some of her favorite Disney Jr. characters.
I love the way that Disney encourages the kids to join in the show!
All of the characters stop at each table, so each child gets to meet them.
Harper met Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
She also met Doc McStuffins
and Sofia the First!
We saw the Disney Jr Live on Stage show
and played at the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.
We watched the Voyage of The Little Mermaid and
rode on Toy Story Midway Mania.

Our favorite attraction was the Frozen Sing-A-Long show.
Harper and I sang all of the songs!
It was a hot afternoon, so we headed back to
the resort to cool off in the pool!
There are no words to describe how much fun I'm having
seeing Disney World through Harper's eyes.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ

On Friday night we went to Mickey's Backyard BBQ
at the Ford Wilderness resort.
There could not have been a more perfect event for Harper.
They served many of her favorite foods.
She needed two plates to fit her hot dog, corn on the cob,
macaroni & cheese, and SIX slices of watermelon!
For dessert, she chose a chocolate dipped Mickey ice cream treat.
She got to meet more of her favorite Disney characters!
Harper loves to make Ashley join in the pictures too!
All of the characters do such a great job of making each child feel special.
I walked over with Harper to meet Goofy, and
turned back around to see Ashley kissing Dale!
Harper laughed when Goofy asked her for a kiss.
Of course we got to visit with Mickey too!
Harper spent most of the night on the dance floor.
When the band played Devil Went Down to Georgia,
Harper said, "I like that one!"
She had fun dancing with Ashley too!
Mickey definitely knows how to host a great party!
