Today was our last day of vacation, and we chose to
spend it at the Magic Kingdom.
It was a rainy day, but we weren't going to let the weather spoil our fun.
We created a stroller cover to keep Harper dry. It worked perfectly!
Wherever we go, Harper makes friends.
When we boarded the plane, she not only greeted the pilot with a big "Hi!",
she said "Hi!" to every single person as we walked down the aisle to our seats.
We take Disney buses from the resort to the parks and each
morning when we get to our bus stop, she walks around greeting everyone.
On the bus ride to Magic Kingdom, she told the lady next to us that Belle was her
favorite princess. The lady gave Harper a collectible Belle pin! It was so sweet!
The lady on the other side of us overheard me say that Belle was the only
princess we hadn't met, and she gave us a great tip on how to meet her.
We attended Enchanted Tales with Belle. It is a small play
where audience members are asked to participate. Harper played a salt shaker
and after the play, she got to meet Belle!
We rode several rides today and the most memorable was
the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It was described as a mild roller coaster.
Harper is normally fearless, but as you can probably see in this photo,
she did NOT like the ride!
She had more fun meeting Anna
and Elsa!
For our last Disney dinner, we chose The Crystal Palace.
Many of the characters from Winnie the Pooh were there.
We met Eeyore
and Piglet
and Tigger
and Winnie the Pooh!
We picked up some treats at the Main Street Confectionary
and Harper couldn't wait to dig in!
Her favorite was several jumbo marshmallows on a Mickey Mouse straw,
dipped in chocolate and rolled in mini M & M's.
Harper has been such a good girl this week!
There has been lots of waiting ...
for buses, in lines at the parks, and at the airport.
She has played quietly and remained happy and I have
definitely counted my blessings many times!
She is such an agreeable and easygoing child.
I was trying to get her to choose a souvenir in the gift shop,
and I really had to twist her arm to get something.
Several other kids were throwing fits and screaming for a toy,
and I could barely convince Harper to take something home.
She finally chose some figurines from Doc McStuffins and Beauty and the Beast.
I persuaded her to also choose Mickey and Minnie dolls
(just like Ashley got when we were here 20 years ago!)
We have made so many great memories on this trip!
As we were tucking into bed tonight I said, "Harper,
what was your favorite thing we did today?"
She answered, "Eating Cheetos!"
I think she did a good job summing up our vacation earlier this morning.
As she was sitting on the potty, she was singing, "If you're happy
and you know it, clap your hands!"
Don't worry! I didn't take any pictures of that!
Thank you Disney World for helping us have such a magical time!
We will remember this trip forever!
