Fun on a long weekend

The weather was great over Memorial Day weekend,
so we spent lots of time outside!
Harper loved playing at Lyla's house.
We ate lunch outside
and played on the playground at Harper's new school.
I'm hoping the transition to kindergarten
will be easier if she is familiar with the school.
We had time to swim
and Lyla came over to swim too!
What a fun weekend!

Families Blessed Picnic

On Sunday, Harper and I attended the
Families Blessed with the World's Children annual picnic.
There were lots of games
and bubbles!
Harper loved the playground.
She really LOVED catching up with her friend, Allie.
The ice cream truck came!
Harper chose a Sponge Bob popsicle.
It melted right away, but she was able to get a lot of it on her
pretty white shirt before it splatted on the ground.
It was a perfect day to picnic with friends!

Last Day of Pre-K

Friday was Harper's last day of Pre-K.
The class sang some songs.
Harper loved the songs with choreography.
She was so excited to sing for us.
Then it was time to say goodbye.
Ms. Angela has been such a great speech therapist!
Harper has been with Mrs. Sara for the past 2&1/2 years.
She has absolutely changed Harper's life!
When Harper entered pre-k, she was not verbal at all.
Now she is a total chatterbox!
Harper's best friend, Sicilia, also really
helped draw Harper out of her shell.
We will miss Mrs. Sara and Sicilia so much!
We have been so blessed with this program!

Such a great little traveler!

We had a long travel day, but Harper did great!
This was the first trip where I didn't take a stroller,
and she was wonderful about walking through the airports.
We checked out of the hotel and grabbed lunch at Red Robin.
Harper loves Red Robin, not only because it has great Mac & Cheese
and endless bowls of mandarin oranges, but also because there are
video games to play at each table!
We had a 3 hour layover in Atlanta and Harper was so good!
She sat and played for a long time.
She also liked "going for a walk" in the airport.
She said, "I see skeleton.  Mama, take picture!"
Harper is growing up so fast!
We had so much fun on vacation!

Busy Day Part II

After lunch, we came back to the hotel to
enjoy the beach and pool one last time.
There were lots of shells on the beach today.
Harper liked to toss them back into the ocean.
After our busy morning, we took some time to rest.
We will miss the serenity of the beach!
Harper wanted to go to the pool one last time too.
We've had such a great vacation!

Another busy day!

We had another great day of vacation!
Harper loves the complimentary hotel breakfast.
All of that food that looks like it is on my half of the table, is really her food!
We started our day with a visit to Foley Kids Park.
There was lots of climbing
and crawling
and bell playing.
There were bridges to cross
and barns to play in.
Even Zeebs got a turn!
After the park, we headed to Gulf Bowl.
It was Harper's first time bowling.
She did great!
She cheered a lot!
There was an arcade, so we played some games.

After shopping at the Outlet Mall, we stopped at Lambert's for lunch.
The original Lambert's is in Sikeston, Missouri but we have never eaten there.
Lambert's is the home of "throwed rolls".
Yes, that blur next to Harper's left hand is the roll she didn't catch.
She decided to protect her face instead!
Luckily, there was an abundance of rolls.
She ate the entire roll plus chicken strips, french fries, applesauce, and corn!
