Worlds of Fun

Today we went to Worlds of Fun.

Harper was finally tall enough to drive the taxi!

We loved Planet Snoopy.

We rode the roller coaster

and the rocket.

Harper drove a truck

and we rode in a school bus that went very high!

We talked to Charlie Brown and Snoopy

and met Lucy too!

We checked out the new petting zoo

and ate macaroni and cheese with French fries pizza!

Harper rode the Viking Voyager for the first time.
She looks scared in the picture, but she loved the ride
especially when we got soaked at the end!

We had a blast at Worlds of Fun!

Americana Pictures

At the beginning of July, Harper posed for some Americana photos.  Here are some of my favorites.

Aunt Christy & Lex

Aunt Christy and Lexi were here at the beginning of June.
We laughed a lot!

One day we went to The Money Museum.

We learned about the history of US curency.

There were tons of activities.

Harper stood by 10 million dollars

and figured out how many pennies tall she was.

Christy tried to lift a bar of gold and eventually succeeded!

Harper and Lex got a bag of shredded money

and we laughed more.
We ate lunch on the Plaza at Shake Shack.  What a fun day!

Tee Ball

Harper played tee ball again this summer.

She improved quite a bit since last year.

Her favorite part is telling the other team “Good game!”

Rhode Island

Today we went to the Roger Williams Zoo
in Providence, Rhode Island.

Harper played with the giant otters

and loved watching the elephants.

She still likes posing for pictures

but mostly wanted to watch the animals.

We saw flamingos

and brushed and petted the goats.

We both agreed our favorite part was feeding the giraffes!

After we saw all the animals, it was time to
cool off in the splash zone.

Harper is always fascinated by mechanical things
and loved playing at this water wall.  She quickly figured
out that if she plugged the orange spigot, water would shoot out the clam’s mouth.  Each color had a different result.

She raced boats down the waterfall

and made a new friend.

We had a great time in the splash zone!

After all that playing, Harper needed to rest!

After the zoo, we cooled off with ice cream from Dairy Twirl.  Harper chose banana flavor!

In the afternoon, we relaxed at the hotel pool.

Several years ago when we were in Pennsylvania, we discovered Friendly’s restaurant.  We loved it and were excited to finally eat at one again!

Harper ordered Mac & Cheese with franks.

I got the bacon mac & cheese burger with fries!

We both chose hunka chunka peanut butter fudge ice cream with Reese’s peanut butter cups on top for dessert.
It was all sooooo delicious!!

We had so much fun on our epic East Coast road trip!
