More fun in Denver

After the Children's Museum, we ate lunch at Sam's No. 3.
It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Then it was time to see The Denver Zoo.
Harper was excited to find some flamingos!
She stopped to read lots of signs and loved to tell me if we should go left or right.
The giraffes were very tall!
We went for a ride on the train
and finally found the zebras!
We were tired after lots of walking, but Harper had
plenty of energy left for the hotel pool!
We had a busy day and after all of this fun,
Harper and her zebra were tuckered out!

Children's Museum of Denver

Harper and I spent the morning at the Denver Children's Museum.
There were many imaginative play areas.
She drove a firetruck
baked in the kitchen
and worked in the veterinary office.
She made balls float
and played with a spinning top.
Harper learned about kinetics
and went white water rafting.
She was a bit nervous, but decided to climb the 3 story "mountain".
She was so proud when she got to the top!
The museum had a great water section
and loads of art activities too!
We had a great time playing at the Children's Museum!

Urban Air

With heavy hearts, we took the girls out for
some much needed fun this morning.
We jumped
and slid
and played.
We played basketball
and dodge ball
and practiced our cheerleading skills.
We slid more
and jumped more.
We stopped to rest
but mostly we missed our mom and grandma.
She would have loved this day!

Sea Life Aquarium

Harper and I had a busy day!  We made chocolate chip muffins
for breakfast.  After church, we ate lunch at Panera.
Next, we went to Sea Life Aquarium at Crown Center.
Flash photography is not allowed, so the pictures are a bit dark.
Harper loved crawling into the bubble so she was "in" the stingray pool.
She was so proud of herself for having the courage to touch the starfish.
Of course she loved playing on the iPads!
We visited Grandma Braley in the hospital, then
discovered our new favorite ice cream store-- Betty Rae's!
We had a lot of fun on this rainy Sunday!

Jesse James Parade

Last weekend Harper got to ride in the
Jesse James Days Parade with her dance studio.
She had so much fun singing, dancing, and waving to the crowds!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Harper's first day of kindergarten!
She was excited and ready to go!
When we got to the school, we were so excited to see Ms. Sara,
Harper's teacher for the past 2 1/2 years.
Harper ran across the street to see her! It was so comforting to know
that Ms. Sara would get Harper settled in her new class.
My sweet friend, Mandy, sent me a picture of Harper during lunch.
This worried Momma was happy to see a smile on her face
(but maybe a little worried to see eyes that looked a bit red and puffy).
After school, Harper's friend Lily held her hand and made sure
she crossed the street safely.
It takes a village and we are so blessed to be a part of this village!
To celebrate a fabulous first day, we went for Sheridan's ice cream!
Harper said she did crayons, markers, recess two times,
play doh, watched a frog show on TV, and ate cheez-its for snack.
She said, "Kindergarten is fun!"
