One of our favorite places was the Indianapolis Zoo.
We were surprised by how close we could get to the animals.
We walked on a path right through the kangaroo habitat.
This meerkat seemed interested in Harper
and the walrus was too!
Harper made a pressed penny souvenir.
We saw bears

and elephants
and rhinos
and emus too!
We saw a really cool dolphin show
but our overall favorite was the Flamingo mingle!
We sat on the ground while the zookeepers released about a dozen
flamingoes from their enclosure to mingle with us!
We loved getting such a close look at these unique birds.
It was a perfect day at the Indianapolis Zoo!
