Harper and I checked Indiana (state #45) off her list over Labor Day weekend.
We relaxed in the lounge at KCI before our flight.
Then we hopped on a direct flight to Indianapolis.
We checked into the Intercontinental Indianapolis
then headed over to the Canal Walk. We rented a kayak
and floated through Indianapolis.
It was a fun way to start our trip!
Next, we checked out the Bottleworks District. We were ready for a snack and a bit of air conditioning, and we found exactly what we needed at Gordon's Milkshake Bar.
After that, we moved on to Pins Mechanical.
They had lots of arcade games
and a giant Connect 4 game!
We played a huge Jenga game too!
Harper was much better at giant Jenga than I was!
Duckpin bowling was our favorite part of visiting Pins Mechanical! It’s just like regular bowling, but with mini balls, smaller pins, and three shots per frame to knock them down.
Harper was thrilled when she knocked down all the pins!
We walked next door for dinner at the Garage Food Hall.
Before we went back to the hotel for the night, we stopped to see
the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.
We had a great first day in Indianapolis!
